Bucky Fuller is perhaps best knows for the geodesic dome, which is one of his many inventions. I’ve been particularly interested in extending his exploration of the Platonic solids and related structures such as the Vector Equilibrium, Bucky’s name for what geometers call the cuboctahedron.
What I have explored is the coordinate systems implicit in the shapes, which include “standard” Cartesian coordinates (orthogonal axes for 2 or 3 dimensional space). There are other possible coordinate systems which have some sort of redundancy built into them.
